Nervous About Your Boudoir Shoot? Follow These 3 Simple Steps

Nervous About Your Boudoir Shoot Follow These 3 Simple Steps.jpg

Got Nerves? Yeah, I hear ya!  I’ve had my own boudoir shoot done twice and uh, YEAH, I was nervous!  LOL

It was a good nervous though - that’s what it really is, right?  These are the fun kind of nerves, right? Like when you get ready to go on a first date, strap into a roller coaster or when you’re about to board a flight on an overseas vacation.

But, I gotta tell you the truth, once I did these three simple things, I had the time of my life! This is what I used to create the Perfect Client Experience. This is how we create

Step 1 - Do Your Homework!  When you book a shoot with me, you’ll get a liiiiiitle bit of homework:  an awesome prep guide that gives you all the tips and tricks to get ready for you shoot. How to get ready in the days before the shoot; what to pack; how to define your style and so much more.  When you do the homework, then you’ll have a clear roadmap for the shoot and that will ease those nerves.  Nerves are usually based in fear of the unknown. Having a game plan clears that up a bit.

Step 2 - Pack a Juicy Bag! Even if you are a total Type A that loves to plan every little thing, you’ll ease your nerves if you pack a little extra.  Leave a little space for magic.  Sometimes you pack a hat, or a scarf or a pair of shoes that you think don’t match with anything but you love.  Then you get in the room and BOOM, magic happens - suddenly we realize the scarf matches a painting or there’s a couch that just sets off that sweater perfectly.  Funny story - my sister got married in Key West in a beautiful white dress which she set off with these royal blue high heels. Lo and behold, there was a beautiful Adirondack chair in the same exact color on the terrace of her room. We got the coolest images. You just never know!

Step 3 - Let it goooooo!  Let me ask you, when you go to the nail salon, do you know how to apply a full set of acrylics?  Or when you go to the hairstylist, do you know how to apply balayage?  Of course not.  Well, you don’t have to know anything to do boudoir shoot either. You don’t have to know how to pose or what makeup looks best on you - my makeup artist and I are the professionals. We’ve spent years honing our craft and I promise we’ve got this.

A boudoir shoot is meant to help you push your boundaries, own your power and build unshakable confidence.  Its an experience of a lifetime!
