Recently I was interviewed by Lauren Wion of Power Women of South Florida Podcast. She’s with the Realview Network and one of the best conversationalists I’ve had the pleasure of working with recently. Power Women of South Florida is a podcast series that highlights female entrepreneurs in the greater Miami area who are working everyday to transform and impact the South Florida community.

It’s pretty cool to be given a platform to share your thoughts and experiences in the hope they might help someone else.

We talked about doing business in the times of Coronavirus, keeping communication streamlined and focused and about how non-profits can utilize virtual outlets to globalize their message.

Valdes emphasizes transparency when it comes to messaging with your followers and clients during a crisis. The key is being present, transparent and giving yourself some grace when messaging through social media and communication channels.

This down time should allow for a reset or future planning for yourself and your brand. Valdes is noticing an uptick in inquiries for updated headshots, re-branding and re-imagining for companies when the green light is given to reinstate operations.

REDIRECTING EFFORTS TO MAKE CONNECTIONS MORE USEFUL | POWER WOMEN OF SOUTH FLORIDA

As we continue to live through one of the most uncertain times in history, we are currently being bombarded with excess messaging and conversations.

“I don’t want to be part of the noise, I want to be part of something special,” adds Valdes. As a community, we are now learning to prioritize and manage our time more constructively. Valdes highlights the importance on finding your tribe. Figure out those who make you feel great and accentuate your life with added and essential material.
